Shot along Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.

Shenandoah National Park has mountains — it occupies a part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western Virginia — but perhaps the most notable attraction is Skyline Drive, a 105.5 mile road spanning the length of the park.  When the trail opened in 1939 after 8 years of construction and paving, it was celebrated as a place for relatively new motorists to cruise in their relatively new rides.  In the 80 years since, visitors still come here to drive, and thanks to the many overlooks like the one shown here, people can get out wherever they like and enjoy being in nature.
