Photo of the Week!

F 5.6; 1/125; ISO 100; 135mm.

Shot in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Kathmandu is home to an estimated 30,000 stray dogs and you’ll find them pretty much everywhere you go.  While they can be hard sights to see (by American standards at least), most live pretty well nevertheless.  In a bustling city like Kathmandu, scraps of food are easy to come by, and most of the humans are, on their worst behavior, apathetic to the dogs.  Conversely, most of the dogs are friendly — although some have rabies; be wary of those ones — and will come up to introduce themselves.  Pictured here is one of those meetings between a foreigner with a camera and two curious locals./
